Anthony Bigelow
Anthony BigelowConvenor
Anthony has many years’ experience in Information Technology, and is passionate about nature conservation, community engagement and networking, and has been on the board of VEFN since 2019.
Anthony is also the current president for First Friends of Dandenong Creek based in Maroondah/Knox, is an active bushwalker, and is revegetating a hectare of his riparian land in Vermont. He is originally from country Victoria, and has always had an affinity and love of our amazing flora and fauna.

Laura Mumaw
Laura MumawDeputy Convenor; Board Member, Gardens for Wildlife Victoria
Laura has many years experience in nature conservation and community engagement, including as a former Zoos Victoria CEO. She is now a researcher at RMIT University, focusing on nature stewardship, urban nature and how cities can improve their social and ecological wellbeing.

Laura is active in Gardens for Wildlife Victoria and its efforts to develop community-government partnerships in each of Victoria’s councils and shires that engage residents in caring for the native plants and animals in their gardens as part of a landscape-focused effort. Margaret has been involved in environment groups for over ten years. Current involvement with Friends groups in Braeside Park/Edithvale Seaford Wetlands. I have an interest in planning issues, walks, community engagement, grants and succession planning/strategy.
I am passionate about the local environment, and am available to support groups in their activities. Previous involvement in Point Nepean National Park and education activities – a passion I continue today. My favourite place to visit is Braeside Park heathlands.
